- Welcome to Alacati & Çesme. Nestled slightly east of Izmir, Turkey.
Alacati is a town on Turkey’s Çeşme Peninsula, on the Aegean Sea. Alacati is known for its beaches, old stone houses and winemaking tradition. In the south, Port Alacati Marina is a renowned water sports centre, thanks to its constant winds.

Thank you for going to places that other youtubers don't go classically in Turkey, Ölüdeniz, Kaş, etc. Çanakkale and this one are great.

I found this amazing video!! I was trying to find a beautiful beach town in Turkey!!! Thank you guys 🥰
Naomi, your voice tone is very nice.i could listen to you a whole day
Guys. Alaçatı means crimson roof..
Ala means crimson, çatı means roof 😊👍
3:19- 😂😂😂😂
Another great video! If you happen to be in Ayvalık, you should definitely go to the Şeytan Sofrası and see the view. It has a breathtaking view. Also, if you like to wander in small but beautiful districts like Alaçatı, I recommend you to visit Akyaka with its unique architecture, ice-cold river and wonderful beach.^^
Çeşme merkez ve İzmir'in diğer semtleri de harika....
Every summer we go from holland to alacati for holiday
Beautiful video! I have recently visited Alacati, and I have uploaded a video of my experience.
Thank you for the video... It really helped when I visited.
Thumbs up!
T
I have been exactly there 2 years ago ! Beautiful place ! You should also take a boats tour !
Nice footage and your admiration of the place sounds to be unique. However, downtown Alacati needs to be visited during the evening hours after the sunset, not as you did under the direct sunlight. Those narrow streets will appear in a totally different vibe, which can be almost described as "amazing". I look forward to following your channel during your stay in Türkiye.
Thank you so much Önen 🙌❤️
Great video guys! Thank you for sharing…going there next year for sure!❤
It's so beautiful :)
Alacati is so so beautiful wow.
Definitely worth checking out! ❤️
Great Vlog but have hope you go to the center from Cesme to but maybe next time or better is when you can stay there for 1-2 nights 😁.
Have a great time in and Around Izmir ;) In Izmir I can recomendet the „Varuna Gezgin Cafe &Bar „ in Alsancak or for realy good homemade Beer the „ La Puerta“
Thank you so much for watching and great suggestions ❤️👍
You should try Turkish Rakı.
The weather is very hot right now, the weather and sea are very nice like September, I recommend you to come on that date
holy moly
You two must see şirince and efes too
Alaçatı ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤣👍🌸
Hi you guys made me think to visit these towns really. However I couldn't find bus from Izmir to Cesme or Alacati. If you can mention some details for me. Thank you
Dude go to alacatı at night.. everyone at the beach during sunlight. you should see cafes at night time
Looks amazing 😍
Looks really beautiful there guys! We are in Izmir now too! Could you give us any information on which bus you took and the bus terminal? 🙏
The bus station is called Fahrettin Altay Aktarma Merkezi.
Just say you’re going to Çesme! They are very frequent 👍❤️
@@TwoMadExplorers thanks guys!
Greetings... loved your video on Alacati.
CAn you please let me know the specific Otogari from where you took the bus.

Howdy guys, thanks for the cool informative vids! I will be heading to Izmir and the southern coast of Turkey soon and Cesme is on my list. How many days would you think anyone should stay in Alacate/Cesme?
2 days is plenty!! It’s definitely not a massive place, and you can see everything you need in a few hours of exploring ☀️
Do you find any laundromat there? Both in alacati or cesme
Can you please provide bus station name or any link that we can view to get a better idea?
hii nice video 🥰 what is the name of the bus station from izmir to alacati pls
would you stay in Alacati hotels or Cesme? which one is best please :)
Nice video

Great video, are you going to Kas?
Yes we definitely will be making a stop there!

Some historical background to these places. Alaçati, as well as Çeşme and Eski Foça are old Greek towns whose beautiful old stone houses, churches and windmills, as well as citrus fruit trees and mastic gum (brought over from the Greek island of Chios) were all built and established by Greek people under Ottoman rule. Unfortunately the Greek people who created these towns, architecture and industries were forced to leave their homes in the early part of the twentieth century.
We are hoping to visit Greece soon and learn some more about that part of the world 🌍 🙏
@@TwoMadExplorers Here is some info that you may find helpful, if you like.
If you like places like Alaçati then you will find similar atmospheric places on the Greek islands closest to Western Turkey, including Symi, Samos, Chios and elsewhere. I would recommennd the verdant Sporades islands and Pelion on the mainland close to these islands, as well as the islands of Syros and Andros in the Cyclades islands group, also less touristy, but very attractive. I would go as far as saying that Ermoupolis (and Ano Syros) on Syros and Chora on Andros are amongst the most beautiful towns in all of the Mediterranean.
Other towns in Turkey with distinct Greek heritage and character include Ayvalik, Kalkan and Kas, as well as many other places along the Black Sea and the interior of Anatolia, historic neighbourhoods in the main cities and towns there and very much so the historical areas of Istanbul, especially Beyoglu, Fener-Balat, Kuzguncuk and the Princes Islands. These areas were heavily populated by Greeks until the mid-20th century and the Istanbul Pogroms. The Greek community, which at one time represented the majority as the commercial and professional classes, left an incredible architectural legacy in Istanbul that can be admired by tourists and locals alike today, but whom remain unaware of who created it. Do some research if you like, there's plenty of info online.
@@alexrenn2479 Thank you for this! Luke has a lot of Greek family in his bloodline. So we are very excited to explore a lot of Greece 🇬🇷
It looks really sunny, is it hot?
Like 35 celcius ☀️❤️
Did you find Cesme to be expensive? Is it more/less expensive than Istanbul?
More expensive than Istanbul for sure, Kadiköy area in Istanbul is very affordable compared to Çesme.
But Çesme is so so beautiful!
@@TwoMadExplorers Thanks! Will be going there for 6 nights.
İF YOU LOVED ALAÇATİ.. YOU MUST VİSİT AYVALİK.
*Türkiye
Türkler diğer ülkeleri resmi isimleriyle çağırmıyorlar ama Türkiye olarak adlandırılmakta ısrar ediyorlar. 🤡 🤡 🤡
Alaçatı.Anatolia 600 years ottoman empire (türk)and after 1923 Türkiye Cumhuriyeti ok . enjoy
Εvery building you see there ..is Greek...
Blaa Blaa.

Alacati was greek since 1920? Are u kidding me???? Turks conquered Izmir since 1081. Why are you giving manupulative information???
It was inhabited by a lot of Greeks until then 👍 it was not Greece. This is also public information everywhere online. It was still Turkey 🇹🇷
@@TwoMadExplorers I think you guys choose your words carefully. If we’re gonna talk about “inhabited” people of cities, you should tell almost half of europe, balkans were inhabited by the Turks.
@@burakcan4330 Yes we have a whole video series from Albania which was inhabited by ottoman Turks which we mention 👍 thanks for watching!
